Chairman’s Message

Kabita Khatiwada

Chairman, Mother Child Health Nepal (MOCHEN)

Welcome to Mother Child Health Nepal (MOCHEN)!

As the Chairman of MOCHEN, it is my honor and privilege to share a few words about our organization’s mission and the impactful work we are doing in communities across Nepal.

Since our establishment in 2071 B.S., MOCHEN has been dedicated to improving the health and well-being of mothers, children, and families. Our commitment to this cause is reflected in our diverse range of programs and initiatives that address critical health issues, promote sustainable development, and empower individuals through education and support.

At MOCHEN, we believe that health is a fundamental human right. Our reproductive health programs provide essential information and services to help individuals make informed decisions about their health. We focus on educating communities about family planning, safe pregnancy practices, and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, ensuring that everyone has access to the care they need.

Our efforts to combat tobacco use and substance abuse among adolescents are also a testament to our commitment to fostering healthier futures. By educating young people about the dangers of tobacco and providing support for those struggling with addiction, we are working to create a tobacco-free generation.

Environmental conservation and sustainability are integral to our vision of a healthy society. Through our various environmental protection programs, we aim to promote sustainable practices and educate communities about the importance of preserving our natural resources.

Additionally, our clean water and sanitation initiatives are making a significant impact by providing communities with access to safe drinking water and promoting hygiene practices that reduce the spread of waterborne diseases.

Empowering women and girls is at the heart of our mission. We are dedicated to providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to lead healthy, empowered lives. Our educational programs, healthcare services, and support networks are designed to ensure that women and girls can make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to expanding our programs and reaching even more communities with the education, healthcare services, and support they need. Our vision is a society where everyone has the opportunity to lead a healthy and fulfilling life, and we are working tirelessly to make this vision a reality.

Thank you for your interest in MOCHEN and for supporting our mission. Together, we can create a healthier, more empowered Nepal.

Warm regards,

Kabita Khatiwada
