Mother Child Health Nepal (MOCHEN) was established in 2014 (B.S. 2071) to work in the areas of health, environment, peace, and rights protection, as a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization. 

 The Government of Nepal's Ministry of Home Affairs and the Social Welfare Council granted approval in the same year (2071) for the organization to conduct service-oriented programs throughout the country. With its main office in Chitwan and field offices in program areas, the organization's current working areas include the districts of Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Gorkha, and Lamjung.
